Introduction Reaching global climate targets is a major responsibility of the Kingdom. The Saudi Green Initiative is laying the groundwork for a more environmentally friendly future by encouraging investment and action across the entire society. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has made significant progress toward a more sustainable future since the 2016 introduction of Vision 2030. With the primary objectives of offsetting and lowering emissions, increasing afforestation and land restoration, and safeguarding the Kingdom's land and sea, SGI was established in 2021 and integrates environmental protection, energy transition, and sustainability programs. Long-term, sustainable climate action plan implementation is being led by SGI.
